GOALS AND DREAMS - part two

You should be out, going and sitting in these cars and going inside these houses and expose yourself to as many extensions of all those dreams as possible. The more senses that experience your dream, the more vivid it becomes, and the higher desire for it. If you go and sit in the brand your automobile with a door closed, you know it, not only smells different, but it feels different. All your senses will pick up the difference.

Until you start doing that, you'll probably never experience that real burning desire. You're just having a mild interest.

It takes people to get emotionally involved in their dream, before they get the energy to go after them. The goal or dream, something you can get excited about, creates excitement, excitement creates energy. If you don't have the first one, you will not have the second and you will not have the third.

If you do have a dream or goal, you will not have the excitement, you will not have the energy, to try and you will find yourself too tired to do anything extra.

You are so tired working for somebody else, that you don't have enough energy to build your own dream. It has nothing to do with how hard you work. It has everything to do with having a worthwhile meaningful goal. When that happens, you will leave your work exhausted and get excited and get energy. The energy comes from the excitement and the purpose. You need to have your goal written down. You don't just leave the back door open. You need to have your goal written down with a date - including a year.

You are developing a sense of urgency, there's a set time when it has to be done. And this is when it starts happening. You start realizing by starting to put things together and you start changing your priorities. You should have long-term goals, medium term goals, and short term goals. You should have something you are working on, this week.

If somebody asked you "How are you?" and you go and tell him what problems you have, you realize that these are not your actual problems? Your actual problem is that you are negative. By saying that you have problems you talk to yourself subconsciously and you emphasize the problems you have. You can modify your saying: in the past I used to have problems. I may have some challenges and I could use some suggestions. Because if you say I have a problem, I have a problem, I have a problem, its coming from your mouth, it's going to your ears and the most convincing voice has spoken. Your mind believes your voice more than to any other voices in the world. When you speak that reality. Your sub-conscious mind doesn't have a door on, it lets everything in. The things that kept you from going after your dream are not things that you thought kept you from going after your dream.

What kept you is not having a big enough desire, not enough reason to do it. If you want something badly enough you will find the time to do it. Most of us don't allow ourselves to want something bad enough, so when we don't do it, it hurts. We don't want to be hurt, it's understandable. You might say, "I really believe I really have the dream." But if you do, how could you allowed yourself to put the time into some other things, which actually have much lower priorities?

Note, that in five-years time, you'll be five years older and have much less energy. If you don't do anything now, you'll be in the same situation as you are now.

They say that doing the same thing and expecting different results is the first sign of insanity.

To change things, you need to change first yourself. It requires discipline and a change of priorities, but the long-term benefit will be much greater.

You are not going to build any business or dream working 9 to 5. Working 9 to 5 is building someone else's dream. To get something extra you'll need to put extra energy into it.

To have and enjoy things most people don't have, you need to do the things that most people don't want to do.

For instance: if you are going somewhere in a car - the greatest amount of energy is used in first gear.

To succeed in anything, you need to communicate and interact with other people. You are not an island. To communicate with other people, and have people develop an interest in what you are doing, you need to first take an action and be interested genuinely in other people and their interests.

The least thing you need to know is their name. To know what they do or if they have any problem, you can help them to solve. We as a human race are basically selfish. We want to be appreciated, we want recognition. This has a tremendous effect on our self-esteem as human beings.

Your way to success and goals also depend on other people and how you react to them. To remember people's names is the most primary of all business and social skills. This can mean to miss out on an opportunity or to gain an advantage. To help you to increase this skill, check our book full of tips and hints in this direction called: "The Lazy Way to Remember Names" If you want find out what other people said after reading this book CLICK HERE.

As Zig Ziglar said: "You can achieve anything you want, if you help enough people to get what they want"
