Software for The Open Mind

You are a mind with body attached. The mind has two levels, 1.Conscious level and 2.Subconscious mind 1. Conscious mind sends the orders to your body. When you are sleeping, 2. Conscious mind sleeps too. Subconscious mind keeps you alive. It is responsible for you everyday life-functions.

ATTITUDE

We would like to get accepted by our peers and the society as whole. This is our nature and it runs in our subconscious if we like it or not. People are scared more of not being accepted then anything else.

Just ask people, if they would like to talk in front of audience of more than say twenty people. Most of them wouldn't do it. Why? Because they are frighten. Frighten of making fool of themselves. Frighten of they friends not believing in them. Frighten of many other things mostly imaginary. Other people would admire you and your courage to stay in front of other people and talk.

Isn't that funny, that most of us have a vivid imagination, when it comes to something what can happen to us, what somebody can say about us, what somebody can think about us. And this imagination runs wild especially in the negative direction. Why? There is the same chance that the positive will happen. But as they say in computer jargon "garbage in garbage out".

By thinking in the negative terms we feed our subconscious mind negative. Subconscious mind doesn't know the difference and acts on the instructions we give it. You probably know the term "self full filing prophecy". Well this is what we are basically living. We feed our mind or are fed by others ideas and we act on them.

There was a group playing a volleyball recently and I was paying attention to what other players are saying to each other. This was just a recreational activity, where couples or singles play just for fun of it. You have husband saying to his wife: "Be careful that you don't spoil the serves!". And what happens? Wife spoils the serves. Instead encouraging her by saying "This will be great serves!", he was feeding her the negative instead the positive. You have another situation where the player on opposite side serves and players whisper among themselves " Be careful, "I don't know, if we can catch this" The same story. Most of the time they failed.

Just imagine that you are driving in the traffic and pressing with one foot an accelerator peddle and with the other the breaks. How far and how fast would you have driven. Would your car last for very long? I don't think so. This is what we do with our thoughts and lives all the time.

We talk to ourselves about 800 words a minute. As we drive in the morning to work and someone cuts us of from the left, we get upset or even angry. We start to abuse this fellow verbally in our car and this changes our track of thoughts. The sad thing is, that we get upset on this driver and stir ourselves and he or she doesn't even know it.

This usually spoils our morning. Our thoughts prior to this are forgotten and we brewing over something we have no control over and also is gone, it's history, we can't change one tiny little bit on it.

But the way we feed our subconsciousness we are usually in less favorable mood when we get to the work than if this wouldn't happened. Our mood effects other people around us. We say things, we wouldn't say otherwise and we get the same feedback.

So next time, when you catch yourself slipping to the negative mood, say yourself: Is this going to matter in 10 years? If it's not, don't get upset about it. It's not important enough.

The master of your success is Your Subconscious mind.
